Most women will experience menstrual cramps at some point in their life, and they can be painful and sometimes debilitating. Although there isn’t much that can be done to get of your time of the month, there are things that can be done to ease your suffering.

“To understand how chiropractic can help with menstrual cramps, it is important to understand that chiropractic health care is based on four principles: The body is a self-regulating organism designed to heal itself: the nervous system is responsible for running all of the body functions: any interference to the normal function of the nervous system will affect the way the body functions; and, as chiropractors, our mission is to restore normal nervous system function, thereby resorting health.

Menstrual cramps are just one signal the body produces to let you know when something isn’t right. There are others, including low back ache, tingling in the legs, bowel problems, urinary difficulties and leg cramps. Dealing with these symptoms without determining their root cause is like placing a bucket under a leaky ceiling without repairing the roof!” – John Ferguson, DC

In addition to chiropractic care you should also be conscious of your diet, exercise and taking Evening Primrose can all decrease your suffering.

Chiropractic care is a great alternative to the traditional medicine that is constantly being advertised through billboards, on televisions and radio and the million other ways the the advertising agencies bleed their slogans into our thoughts. It’s important to remember that we have options, and there are a number of ways to deal with your pain rather than just simply taking Tylenol. For a long time Massage therapy has been seen a way to relax and kick back and really get some TLC. However, Massage Therapy has emerged more recently as a legitimate way to deal with your aches and pains.

Once your body starts to re-align itself and begins to heal that is a great time to introduce massage therapy into the mix and to speed up the healing process. This is why you will usually see massage offered at nearly every chiropractic office. That’s because it’s a great way to promote healing and growth, both physically and mentally.

So remember, massage therapy is not only about relaxing, it’s also about pushing your body further and helping it feel those aches and pains less and to feel more fluid. Give it a chance, what do you have to lose but to feel good?

When most people have back pain their first instinct is to take some sort of medication to help it go away. However, the pain doesn’t really go away, it is merely just masked by the medication that you’re taking. So when you wake up the next day and your pain is still there, that’s why! So, how do you get back pain to go away. There’s many different ways that you naturally help back pain instead of resorting to medication. Read on to see what you can do just by visiting your chiropractor!

“Chiropractic treatments are drug-free and surgery-free. They are non-invasive to the body. This means that there are no internal side effects to getting chiropractic treatment. Sure, a person may feel soreness after a procedure; however, he will not be subject to the same types of side effects that are possible with back pain medications.

Back pain medications can cause a variety of side effects—nausea, headaches, vomiting, stomach problems, sleeping issues, and more. Especially prescription back pain medications; these are much more likely to cause a person to have ill effects. On the other hand, it may not help to simply take over-the-counter medications because these may not work very well for a lot of back pain sufferers.”

Whenever you visit your Chiropractor you probably hear some what is describes as a “cracking” noise in your back during an adjustment. There’s a lot of rumors swirling around about what that noise is. So let’s put that to rest once and for all. It’s a release of toxins and gas that are trapped in your spine. Read on for a more thorough description of what it is so you will know exactly what the Doctor is doing when he’s adjusting you!

“MYTH- Chiropractors crack your bones.

Reality: Some chiropractic techniques involve an adjustment, or manipulation, of the spine or extremity joints (the point of connection between two bones). A chiropractic adjustment is the focused mobilization of a target joint in the body which affects the joint’s position and movement. The audible sound sometimes heard during the procedure is created by the opening of the joint space. A chiropractic adjustment does not affect the bones on either side of a joint, it affects the connective tissue that holds the joint together. Sometimes there is no better way to mobilize the deep connective tissue within a joint structure other than to make an adjustment. Not all chiropractic techniques require a manipulation, and a patient’s treatment plan may also include physiotherapy, soft tissue work, exercise – stretch and ergonomic advice, and nutritional – dietary counseling.”

Sometimes it can take time to feel better when you are under chiropractic care, or it can be instantaneous. However, no matter when it happens for you, you will surely all of a sudden get that feeling that you’re not tired when you normally were, or you haven’t developed that splitting headaches at 3 PM that you usually get. Here is a great story of a woman whose life was turned around by chiropractic care and the natural, holistic method that it takes to help people live their lives better.

“I had the pleasure of helping a thirty-eight year old single Mother who had fallen from a horse twice when she was ten years old. Since that time she’d had excruciating pain in her lower back and headaches nearly every day. She refused to take medication because she could not properly care for her two children. She had suffered throughout her entire adulthood. What bothered her most of all was that she could no longer carry her three-year old boy because of the pain. After just one adjustment she returned feeling ‘different… lighter’. By the fourth adjustment she was headache and pain-free for the first time since age ten. ‘I feel like an entirely new person; I feel like I have been given my life back’. ”

There are so many chiropractic myths out there, but it just takes a little detective work to look into and find out the real information! All Doctor’s of Chiropractic do indeed go to college and then on to further education to receive their Doctor of Chiropractic Degree (DOC). Read on further to see how many different institutions recognize the work Chiropractors do.

Chiropractors are not real doctors.

Chiropractic colleges are accredited by The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for accreditation of programs and institutions offering the doctor of chiropractic degree. Therefore, the school meets federal and state guidelines for student financial aid. As a result, graduates are given the title Doctor of Chiropractic. Among those organizations accepting chiropractic legitimacy are the U.S. Department of Labor which recognizes the title of Doctor and chiropractic work, and the American Medical Association which states that a physician may refer a patient for diagnostic or therapeutic services to a chiropractor. Many health insurance policies cover chiropractic treatment.

Whether you have heard about it before or not, chiropractic care can help people who suffer from ADD/ADHD. These days, our children are subjected to so many things at once, it’s no wonder they have trouble concentrating. Often times they are given medicine and sent on their way and that never really deals with the issue, just covers it up. But there are real issues going on and they can be improved by taking your child to a chiropractor. Read on about this success story a Mother had with her two young boys and how they improved from being under chiropractic care.

“I was taking care of two young boys, age four and six. Both have ADD/ADHD and mild Autistic symptoms. The parents were given many different information and types of medicine to try, with no help or relief. I told the parents that if we can clear out nerve interference they will improve. After two adjustments, the parents came to me and said ” I don’t know what you did but these boys never slept. It’s always been a problem getting them to sleep through the night and then they’d be up at 6 a.m every morning. Now they sleep like logs.” I thought to myself, “Here we go, the body is starting to heal itself; I expect great things for these boys!”
